Who else has created anything like...
The $500 Billion-a-Year Idea. A way to dramatically
increase the pool of donations and volunteer energy to charities. This
amount is greater than the all the money the U.S. gives in foreign aid each
year. It's greater than the United Nations operating budget. It's
greater than the total donations of the thousand most generous corporations on
Earth. And it's greater than these three sums combined.
We plan to have the HelpersHelper.Org project fully operational by October
2009.
The Golden Rule 2.0. This is an upgrade of the
3,000-year-old Golden Rule and an explanation of why it's needed now, in this
century.
Mighty Plan. At present there is no widely accepted,
overall plan for addressing the current and predicted global problems of this
century. Mighty Plan is a meta-plan, meaning that it doesn't directly
address most problems, but instead is a plan to create the spare time, money,
skill and energy that humanity and the various nonprofits will need to draw
from to address all the particular sources of human suffering and
environmental destruction. While a few other plans have been developed, we
believe that none of them describe the methods and incentives that are
needed to cause the political, economic, environmental and social changes
needed. Although the first draft is sometimes clunky, it contains the
methods, new concepts, incentives and strategies in detail.
Unlike most plans of its kind, Mighty Plan is not aimed at government or
nonprofit leaders, but at the middle-income population of the world. According
to our estimates, neither governments nor the the wealthy have enough
resources to stabilize the world. The greatest wealth and source of
firepower is currently in the earning power and assets of the middle income
people of the world. We think that the future of humanity is largely in
their hands.

Proof Through the Night. This is a website, a movement, and
perhaps most importantly a set of over 40 high-leverage strategies to create
an informed, critically thinking and active American electorate in ten
years. One important outcome of the movement would be a much better use
of American tax dollars. If PTTN resulted in saving 10-20% of the US
federal budget, or better use of that money, that would be a savings of $350
to $700 billion dollars a year. That money could do great good, if an
informed, thinking and active American electorate elected better officials and
monitored them more carefully. The Proof
Through the Night website is being built but it already
contains much of the program and many useful resources.
Superprograms. Not a new educational program, but a new
category of educational structures. Superprograms can accelerate human
learning and change at a time in human history when people do need to learn
more things, more effectively. You can find some particular superprograms here.
The potential firepower of superprograms is so vast that we can't even
estimate how many trillions of dollars a year it would be. Suffice it to
say that a new kind of educational structure that could accelerate human
learning and change would probably be among the top ten advances of human
history, with such advances as written language, agriculture, arithmetic, the
rule of law, the idea of money, the Scientific Method, modern democracy and
the Internet.
