Doom of the Week

 

Summary: Mighty Plan, in addition to being a plan to provide capacity and humanity needs to make people aware of potential threats. In other words, why work hard to repair the world and lift up the poor, if we let civilization destroy itself through some biological plague or some other catastrophe. Some situations are out of human control, but in many other cases preparedness, or advocacy to pressure governments to prepare is prudent.

‘Doom of the week’ would be a video series pretending that a threat has already occurred (such as the New Madrid earthquake).  It would talk about the damage caused, the ramifications and aftermath (for the rest of the country in this case) and what could have been done about it, ‘had people been alerted in advance.’  To be effective it would have to be entertaining in some way.

This project is at an early stage of development. More brainstorming needs to be done.

 

Plans and Needs: Put the project out there with the rest, and seek a team to develop the project further.

 

Potential Impact: Could save many lives. Also, it makes Mighty Plan more complete.
